Winter Training Programme 2024
The training programme has been put together based on feedback from delivery partners this summer as well as including access to minimum operating standards courses that are required to deliver as part of the Healthy Holidays Programme.
The training programme is free to all those organisations and partners involved in the delivery of the Healthy Holidays Programme. These opportunities are for staff, volunteers, and leaders so there is an expectation that funded partners utilise this training opportunity wherever possible.
This winter there is a variety of training courses and workshops on offer, here is what included:
Safeguarding @ Online (Zoom)
This online course will provide an understanding of how to deliver physical activities and youth activities with a child welfare and safety centred approach. Using specific examples and scenarios taken from the community activity context, it will provide opportunities to discuss and explore key topics including welfare, safeguarding, child abuse and radicalisation.
This will help develop knowledge and an understanding of the importance of early intervention and identifying, responding, and reporting concerns.

A Gentle Reminder on Attendance:
To ensure the best use of available funding and resources, we kindly ask that you register only for workshops you can attend. If circumstances change, please notify StreetGames and the Healthy Holidays team at least 48 hours in advance. Where places are booked and not attended, and excessive costs are incurred by the HAF programme, the cost for not attending may be deducted from future HAF grant funding to your organisation. We understand that situations arise, but we aim to ensure that these valuable opportunities are utilised to their full potential by everyone involved.
We hope you find these workshops helpful, and we look forward to supporting your ongoing work in delivering meaningful, impactful activities for our communities.
